Trinity Strings

Trinity Strings is a string education program, welcoming children (ages 4-18) and their families at Trinity Cathedral in Trenton on Saturdays. Introductory students begin in group classes of 10 children with their own caregiver, who is required to attend all classes and practice with them at home.
This model is based on Shin’ichi Suzuki’s philosophy that
anyone can learn music if placed in an encouraging and supportive environment.
After three years of group classes, children are expected to have developed the habits and skills to practice independently, having reached an intermediate level of string playing.
At this point, students are ready for individual instruction, chamber groups, larger ensembles and theory.  For advanced students, we offer private lessons and theory classes that are connected to our related summer programs and youth orchestra.
Students also perform locally and eventually internationally, through their participation in Trinity Strings.
Our programs prepare students who fully invest in their music study to graduate at a competitive college bound music level.
